SJN Young Adults
We are excited to start our SJN Young Adult group. Young Adult Ministry is for parishioners between the ages of 20's and 30's who are looking to explore their faith while meeting new people and building community. Group events fall into three areas: Christian service, spirituality, and fellowship. Looking for spiritual events such as adoration followed by fellowship at a local pub; Theology on Tapas nights; and a weekend retreat. Social and fellowship events can included wine and cheese nights; picnics; bowling nights; attending Baseball games; monthly happy hours at a neighborhood watering hole; a camping trip and Mass with fellow young adults. This lively ministry is looking at planning fun and exciting activities for the young adults of the parish and is happy to welcome new members starting soon. We need a leader for this group. The Search Begins!
We are all searching for something. Why am I here? Will I ever be happy? What happens when I die?
We find the answers to life’s big questions when we wrestle with them in faith. In fact, the story of human history has largely been a story of faith. We need a relationship with our maker—a relationship with life—to make sense of all of this.
THE SEARCH leads people to the deepest questions of the human heart, exploring the meaning and purpose of life with a visually stunning and intellectually stimulating approach. As an evangelization series hosted by Chris Stefanick, THE SEARCH guides us through a crescendo of seven episodes examining life and death, sorrow and happiness, and science and faith.
Astrophysicists, psychologists, astronauts, neuroscientists, professors, athletes, artists, and the beauty of the cosmos all point to one big conclusion: Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. The Search video series has something for all of us, even those who are away from the Church but are still seeking, and those who have never considered faith before.

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
- Every TUESDAY Evening at 6:30-7:30 pm, starting 2024, we will gather IN-PERSON in the Youth Room to pray, view the videos together, then meet in smaller groups to grow, discuss, and internalize the main points. Meetings will last approx. 90 minutes. Please let us know if you are interested in helping as a SMALL GROUP FACILITATOR.
